Also raw food is very delicious and extremely easy to make, in fact even 10 year olds could make some of the recipes after been explained once.

Most raw food books have recipes which range from entrees, to raw salads, raw desserts, hemp recipes, raw soups, raw snacks, and many more. These are utterly enticing and delicious and if you have never tried them then you are strongly recommended to. As the majority of these are very high in dietary fiber it can keep your digestive system clean and that is **extremely** important to maintaining a high level of physical well being.

Also it is worth noting that problems such as constipation, gastritis, heartburns, and other digestion related problems are experienced by people who live entirely on cooked food. Another important fact is that when addressing these problems doctors will always advise the patient to eat more raw fruits and vegetables rich in dietary fiber and nutrients. Won’t it just be common sense to go on a diet of such nutritional value in the first place?

You can easily try a new diet as raw food books are available all over the internet and can be used to make some vegan recipes. Apart from the nutritional value such dishes are very delicious and filling. So you have great taste, great nutrition and no need of cooking. As you can see you get to gain from every perspective and have virtually nothing to loose. With vegan food and you are almost guaranteed to be pleasantly surprised.

What are raw foods? Raw foods include fruits, vegetable, nuts and seeds. A raw food diet is the best diet on the planet, but even adding a few will make a difference.

If you want to start feeling better and get well from any one of many diseases, ailments and conditions, sleep better and no longer feel tired and stressed out each day, then consider adding more raw foods to your diet. Often called living foods, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds are plant foods. They are loaded with good nutrition, minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients and many other good things.

People, including me, who incorporate more raw roods into their diet or eat solely a raw food diet, live a better quality life, no longer suffer from heart problems, autoimmune diseases, arthritis, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux and other intestinal ailments, acne, eczema, other skin conditions and lots more.

The benefits of raw food are widely known and having experienced the benefits myself getting rid of breast cancer, fibromyalgia, arthritis, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, sleeping problems, gum disease and a long list of ailments, I can vouch for the benefits. I sleep five hours a night, I’m never fatigued, and I have no digestive or intestinal disorders of any kind and feel great. No heart disease, no diabetes, no obesity. Never sick! No pills or medications.

Eating more raw foods will help you lose weight naturally and fast if you eat a lot of them. Dramatic weight losses occur.

A raw food diet or eating more raw foods isn’t boring. There are lots of raw food recipes you can make including many desserts such as, fudge, blueberry and other pies, lemon torte, brownies, pecan balls, candy, cookies, pudding, and frosting, for example. You can make almond-milkshakes and smoothies. You can make dressings, salads, vegan burgers, pates, spreads, dips, wraps and crackers. There are many easy raw food recipes you can make in just a few minutes because you’re not cooking anything.

One of the nice things about raw food recipes is that if you have food allergies or food intolerances, that most of them will be gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free, milk-free, dairy-free, yeast-free and grain-free.

Why not give yourself a lift and start eating more raw food today. You’ll live a longer and better quality life and influence all those around you too to eat better when they see how healthy you are. Try some raw food recipes and have some fun creating some healthy recipes that won’t cause you to gain any weight.

Read the steps below to save you both time and money. I learned the hard way, hopefully, you won’t have to do the same.

The 5 most common raw recipe mistakes:

1. Not Using Fresh Nuts. Nothing ruins a recipe like rancid nuts. Surprisingly nuts can go bad and lend a stale, bitter taste to the recipe. Taste the nuts before adding them to your recipe. The nuts at your local health food store may not be the freshest. Consider ordering nuts online for better results.

2. Not Using A High Powered Blender. While a high powered blender can cost a little more than a lower powered blender, it is well worth it. A higher powered blender often contains a more powerful motor. Using a less powerful blender, with a less powerful motor, can produce gritty creams and mixes. If using a less powerful blender, make sure to add less denser items first followed by more denser items. You may also need to add additional water to keep the blender moving.

3. Adding Too Much Salt. Salt can wake up a tasteless recipe, but it is best added a little at a time. Because everyone’s taste buds are different, I usually add half of the salt that is required per recipe. You can always add more, but it is difficult to undo a salty recipe.

4. Using Too Much Citrus. Citrus is tart and can instantly ruin a recipe. Luckily, you can counteract the tartness by adding something sweet like agave or dates.

5. Using Too Much. You know the adage, if a little is good a lot must be better? Well, that doesn’t work well with raw foods recipes. Some flavors are more potent in their natural state versus their cook state and will overpower the flavor of a dish. Be careful with pungent raw flavors like onions, garlic, and vinegar. It is best to add them a little at a time and test along the way.

Find beautiful, simple, full color photos of raw foods recipes that follow these very principals. Doing the wrong thing could mean the lost of enthusiasm, time, and weight loss progress.

There are specific recipes you can use that will make the raw food lifestyle effortless. Visit http://howirawfood.com to see how I do it.

If you are interested in becoming raw you’re going to love these tips!

1. Substitute regular cheese for nut cheese

If you are in the mood for a blue cheese dressing you can make a raw salad dressing out of tahini, miso, lemon juice, and water to make a satisfying cheesy tasting salad dressing. Instead of parmesan cheese, use pine nuts and nutritional yeast processed in the food processor with the S blade on. If you are in the mood for some nacho cheese, you can blend cashews or macadamia nuts with bell peppers and some Mexican seasonings to make a spicy creamy cheese sauce.

2. Invest in some equipment

Healthy appliances can really make a difference in adding variety to the diet. If budget is not an issue I definitely recommend getting a powerful blender such as a Vitamix, a good quality food processor, a food dehydrator, and a juicer. If money is an issue, you can get some affordable small raw food kitchen gadgets like a sprout bag to make to nut milk and a spiral slicer or a mandoline slicer to make zucchini spaghetti. Even just a few extra small tools can really make a big difference.

3. Try a new raw recipe every week

Invest in an easy raw recipe book or find some easy raw recipes online. Make it a point to try a new recipe every week. You can even get the family involved by giving the recipe to a family member to make it for you. If you like it, put it in a recipe box or bookmark it so that you can make it again!

4. Visit a raw restaurant at least once a month

Go out to a raw restaurant at least once a month, or if you can’t, host a raw food potluck at your place! If you don’t have any raw friends give your friends and family recipes and have them bring something raw to your get together. You can either give them raw food recipes or tell them to bring a simple salad or a plate of fresh vegetables and you make the raw dip or raw salad dressing.

5. Bring a raw salad and a raw dessert to any social gathering

If invited over to a friends house, offer to bring the salad and the dessert. They won’t even know that they’re raw. Not only will your friends be delighted with what you brought, you won’t likely go hungry at the party!

Well here are a few really quick and easy raw food recipes with 5 ingredients or less for the raw food beginner.

The raw food diet is a type of diet where people eat the majority of their foods in their natural whole state without cooking them. Many people are adopting this lifestyle to eat a natural whole foods diet and to get the benefits of all the nutrients available in fresh raw fruits and vegetables.

Most raw food recipes available on the web or in recipe books are complicated, time consuming, and require a lot of fancy kitchen equipment. This unfortunately turns a lot of people off to the diet because they think it is too hard and time consuming to fit into their busy lifestyle. In this article I’m going to offer a few easy recipes that don’t require any fancy equipment or exotic ingredients.

*Most people already have a blender so some of these recipes require a blender.

Easy Green Smoothie Recipe

2 bananas 4 kale leaves chopped with stems removed 1/2 of an apple 1 cup water

Blend in a blender until smooth. This nutritious green smoothie can be eaten for breakfast or as a mid afternoon snack. By blending the kale you are making all the nutrients in the kale leaves such as A,K,C, Iron and calcium easy for your body to absorb and digest. The sweetness from the bananas makes the kale leaves palatable, you’ll be surprised by how good it tastes! Serves 2.

Easy Cucumber Salad

2 cucumbers chopped 2 ripe tomatoes chopped 1 red bell pepper chopped 1 bunch cilantro chopped 1 avocado chopped pinch sea salt

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and enjoy as a simple and delicious side salad. The juices of the tomato and bell pepper will marinate with the cilantro to dress the cucumbers. The flesh of a cucumber is a very good source of vitamins A, C, and folic acid. The hard skin is rich in fiber and a variety of minerals including magnesium, silica, molybdenum, and potassium. Serves 4.

Easy Avocado Salad Dressing

1/2 an avocado 1 cup orange juice 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chives pinch cayenne pepper pinch salt

Blend all ingredients except for the chives in the blender until smooth and then mix in the chives. If you don’t have a blender mash the avocado and then whisk the ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. Serves 2-4.

Easy Mango Pudding

2 mangoes peeled and diced 1 teaspoon honey 1/2 cup raspberries 1/4 cup water

Blend all ingredients except for the raspberries in the blender. Put the mango pudding in a bowl and then garnish with the raspberries or layer the mango pudding with the raspberries in little dessert dishes to make a healthy parfait. Serves 2.

Now you need to find recipes to help you get started. You will find some interesting raw food ideas on this page so don’t go away.

Let us begin by examining what a raw food diet comprises. It is a diet that includes uncooked and unprocessed plant foods; all fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, beans, nuts, sprouts, dried fruit and seaweed.

If you are wondering why you cannot cook the food before eating it, the answer lies in the fact that food cooked at 116 degrees Fahrenheit or more, destroys the nutritional value of the food as well as the enzymes that help us digest and absorb food.

The benefits from sticking to raw food recipes include: reduced risk of heart problems; weight loss, improved appearance of the skin; increased energy and better digestion.

Cooking techniques for raw food recipes involve sprouting seeds and grains; blending and juicing, and soaking nuts. You will need the following equipment in your kitchen to prepare your raw food recipes.

A dehydrator to cook food at temperatures lower than 116 degrees Fahrenheit.

A juice extractor to juice your fruit and vegetables.

A combination food processor, blender and chopper.

General containers for your sprouts, beans, seeds and grains.

A good example of a raw recipe would be this refreshing “soup” as the recipe owner terms it. You have to blend together all the ingredients in their raw form to make the soup. Add cantaloupe, carrot, soaked almonds, grated ginger, coconut milk; lemon juice and a little honey. Garnish with mint leaves and enjoy!

The internet is full of recipes that you can try out. You will find recipes for appetizers, starters, breads, cereals, crackers, side dishes, entrees, soups and salads, juices and smoothies and so much more.

Bon appetit!

This is just another way to look at copy cat recipes.

Although most people think a raw food diet consists of eating fruits and salads and maybe a handful of nuts and seeds, the raw food diet is much more than that. You can prepare dozens of copy cat recipes, those that mimic the standard American diet fare you are probably used to eating.

For example one of the best raw food recipes that is easy to make is almond milk. You can easily make your own almond milk cheaply, at home, to substitute for harmful cow’s milk and boxed soy and rice products. Soy milk and other boxed milks are highly processed. Although a better alternative to cow’s milk they still do not have the health benefits you get from a nice tall glass of homemade almond milk.

Making almond milk is relatively easy and doesn’t require any unusual ingredients. You can use dates, honey or agave nectar for sweetener and still keep it in its living or alive state.

To make almond milk you only need about a cup of raw almonds. Make sure not to buy or use roasted almonds. You soak these overnight in pure water, drain and put in a blender along with 3 cups of pure filtered or spring water and blend for about 2 1/2 minutes. Then pour into a nut milk bag, sprout bag or fine mesh strainer. Squeeze tightly if you are using a bag. Pour into a glass jar, add your sweetener and refrigerate.

Almond milk will keep for up to five days or so. Use it on sliced strawberries and bananas in a bowl, drink as is, add nutmeg for an eggnog flavor etc. Use it wherever you would use other milks.

Of course it can be used on cereal, muesli, granola in a bowl if you still eat those. At the least try to incorporate it into your diet. It’ll vastly help improve your health. This is especially true if you eliminate cow’s milk and other dairy products. Raw food diets are the healthiest diets and help you lose weight naturally.

There are many other copy cat raw food recipes you can make with living foods that will replace the cooked foods in your diet. If you’re a mom with young kids or teenagers, you will be greatly benefiting your kids’ diets with almond milk and other great living food recipes. They will never know the difference and their overall health will benefit. There are many other simple and easy raw food recipes you can fix for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

In fact if you eat this consistently instead of a high fat snack you’re sure to lose weight over time.

One of the hardest things for moms to do is to find a quick snack or pick-me-up for mom and the kids that will actually contribute to your health and not cause your body harm. As a former nurse and long time breast cancer survivor I know the importance of eating living or raw foods and feeding my family only healthy snacks.

It’s good to get some good healthy standbys that you can fix in minutes. With this raw recipe you may not have the ingredients at home now but these are ingredients that are easy to buy and keep on hand so you can use them often. You can also make many variations of this recipe by adding other frozen or fresh fruits.

To make this raw food recipe made with living foods you’ll need the following ingredients: bananas, frozen bananas, organic dates, carob powder and raw tahini.

I buy and freeze bananas that are ripe and a little bit past prime but not mushy ripe and freeze them in a zip lock bag without the peel. I buy dates, but always organic, I buy raw carob powder – not roasted- and raw tahini (made from sesame seeds), (which may be in a jar) at our local food coop or whole foods grocery. The dates will keep nicely in the refrigerator for many months. The raw carob powder I keep in a large Mason jar. The tahini should be kept in the refrigerator once it’s opened.

The raw recipe – Quick and Easy Healthy Raw Chocolate Milkshake

1 fresh banana
1 frozen banana
4 pitted organic dates (you can use more or less – make it very sweet)
1/2 to 1 T of raw carob powder (try small amount first and add to taste)
1 T raw tahini
1 cup of pure filtered or spring water
Blend then all together. You may need to chop your dates up first a little.
And serve.

You can vary this raw food recipe in many ways. You can leave the carob out and use 1/2 to 1 cup of blueberries fresh or frozen. Of course the carob isn’t really chocolate. Chocolate may be too stimulating for many even if raw, but the carob taste is close and healthy. Kids usually can’t tell the difference. You can eliminate the tahini when you add other fruit. You can use 1 cup of frozen mango chunks and eliminate the carob powder.

So there are many ways you can use this free raw recipe for a quick and easy healthy chocolate milkshake. Be creative and try several variations. You’ll find it will be a quick healthy snack to serve any time. Company will love it!

Hummus as we know it usually contains cooked ingredients and includes beans but you can easily make the best hummus, without the beans or cooking it.

I’ve fixed and served this hummus many times and brought it to potlucks either as a dip or to be served on the side. You can also spread it on raw crackers or tortillas and top with salsa, tomatoes, avocadoes, cilantro or other herbs and veggies. I often make it and just keep it in the refrigerator for a few days ready to use.

For this raw recipe you’ll need 2 medium zucchini or cut a huge one down, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2-3 garlic cloves, sea salt, 1 large or 2 small lemons for juice, sesame seeds, tahini (comes in a jar or in bulk at food coops), ground paprika and ground cumin.

When you prepare this hummus recipe make sure to consider how spicy you want it to be. I prefer mine on the mild side. I have tried it with 4 cloves of garlic and it was too many. You can also cut down on the paprika and cumin, so start with a little and check by taste.

Here are the recipe ingredients: 2 medium zucchini, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2-3 garlic cloves, 2 tsp. sun-dried sea salt, 1/2 cup of freshly extracted lemon juice, 3/4 cup black or white sesame seeds, 3/4 cup tahini, 1/2 tsp. paprika and 1/2 tsp. cumin.

Cut up the unpeeled zucchini and place in a food processor along with the olive oil and 2 cloves of garlic and process until gently mixed. Add the sea salt, lemon juice, sesame seeds, tahini, paprika and cumin and process until mixed.

Refrigerate up to 3-4 days.

That’s it. An easy raw food recipe that takes only minutes to make. So much better than the store brands, which also include cooked ingredients. Only raw ingredients go into this hummus recipe. You can market and sell it it’s so good. You’ll want to adjust it to your taste. Just make sure not to make it too spicy because many people don’t like hot or spicy foods or can’t tolerate them. Raw foods don’t have to be hot and spicy to be good.

For my raw food diet cure and secrets – how I used it to help cure my breast cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia, acid reflux, digestive & sleep issues, headaches, pain, weight loss, etc. see a nurse/raw food expert’s http://www.RawFoodDietCure.com and my easy raw food recipes http://www.RecipesRaw.com
